Savio Education was born out of the desire to bring together experts in education, diplomacy and business to create a free and innovative school network around the world.
Savio Education is developing a network of schools where the art of learning allows young people to grow in freedom. The requirement for the quality of teaching and methods is also embodied in respect for oneself and others, thus making possible academic fulfillment and the blossoming of natural and supernatural virtues. By promoting the means to give young people a taste for freedom, Savio Education wishes to train generations of students capable of entering a complex world without complexes. An integral education nourished by the best internationally.
Respectful of the projects specific to each establishment of the group which shares its values, Savio Education supports them by giving them the means to continue their action. This ambition to create schools where freedom is combined with educational demands finds its main source in the work of the Salesians. If Don Bosco is the fatherly and priestly figure of this teaching congregation, Dominique Savio is the youthful and emblematic figure that our group has chosen to propose as a model of a joyful and fraternal vision of education.
Dominique Savio (1842 – 1857) lived less than 15 years of a life entirely dedicated to God and to his comrades in Valdocco, the district of Turin where Don Bosco welcomed idle young people. The latter quickly noticed his human qualities and his great desire for holiness. The virtues manifested by Dominic throughout his short life were mainly those of joy, obedience in trust, and freedom.
